This years California Extreme Tshirt Designs
Still fine tooning some of the details on these and we need to narrow down choices

Hi there.
I feel that #1 is the best right now. I think the color of the shirt it would be printed on is also important.
Some finishing touches I feel would be good for the other shirts:
For Design #5:
The white space in the center between the text in #5 seems out of place and should probably be removed/made transparent. The yellow stroke at the top of the character's head also seems to stick out oddly. Might be cool to have text on the shirt somewhere saying it's the 21st annual CAX in the style/design of the Nintendo Seal of Quality logo.
For Design #6:
It would be nice to see the date or something like "21st annual CAX" somehow. Also for some reason, the text does not look centered with the car beneath it. Might be good to adjust the font Kerning as well here.

I voted for #1, although I'm equally a fan of #'s 2 and 3.

I did the #6 design and that was an initial draft. I re-tooled it a couple of times but this one was the one that was posted. I re-submitted a very very refined version today and I hope it gets posted because it think its very good. It also includes California extreme, Santa Clara July 29th and 30th 2017. Hope to see it up soon.

I liked #1 a lot, but after seeing Villa2017's revised version I voted for #6. That design looks great.

A few thoughts.
I most like #3. Please include the dates for the show.
#1 is a very cool design. But how many people will recognize Tapper here? And the history of Tapper is it was originally depicting a bartender pouring beer, but moved to a soda jerk pouring root beer. The beer connotation isn’t kid friendly. 80s era 8 bit pixelated beer mugs can be cute. This black & white illustration could be tweaked a bit to be more kid friendly, and specifically mention Tapper & root beer somewhere in the illustration to make it obvious you’re referring to the videogame. Otherwise it looks like CA Extreme is a beer festival? Not something to take the kids to. Putting a modified design on a beige / creme colored shirt could look very nice.
#5 is a fun design. But printing this on a red t-shirt would be a very loud shirt. That would make the shirt virtually unwearable anywhere but CA Extreme.
#4 & 6: I wish there were more alternate designs away from the standard space video game themed shirts.
Please consider designs with a small CA Extreme logo (perhaps a single color) on the left breast, with the main design printed on the back.

I also really like where Villa2017 is going with the updated #6 design. I think it needs a little more work, including making the main car a bit more video-gamey. Wish it had even more of a Pole Position or other 80s era racing game vibe to it.

I pulled all the car images for my design directly from super Sprint which was my favorite 80's era game. I just added some style. I can make some additions if the design is liked but it is getting too close to make any major overhauls at this point.

Here is a tron version. I am putting this out there because..... well I don't know why but I figure Tron is pretty universal. But it is also one color so it should be pretty cheap to produce.

#1 is dope! I hope it wins but #3 is cool too

Villa2017 I really like Super Sprint too, one of my favorites. My only suggestion is to make it even more Super Sprint-y, possibly integrate the track somehow so it's even more obvious? Could be a winner.
I think you should save the Tron design you're working on for next year. I think a design that used spot colors on black, using colors that show up well under black light, could be amazing.
